A woman in escaped by a whisker after an SUV barged past other cars and speed down the sidewalk in Bengaluru’s BTM layout on Tuesday morning. Police said the incident that took place around 10: 45 am when the woman was buying something at a shop by the footpath. Police said the speeding car damaged several shops, adding that no one was injured. They said the driver resolved the issue amicably by paying Rs 4,500 to the shop owners for the damage caused by the accident. No police complaint was registered as there were no injuries. However, the police took action after CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media. They have launched a manhunt for the driver.
