Mood of the Nation poll: PM Modi remains invincible 9 years into power

The BJP-led NDA government's approval rating has gone up a notch and if the Lok Sabha 2024 polls were to be held today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will secure a historic hat-trick and remain in power, revealed India Today's Mood of the Nation poll.

The survey revealed that if the Lok Sabha elections were held today, the Bharatiya Janata Party was projected to win 284 seats.

Even though price rises and unemployment were listed as major failures of the government, the Centre scored well in terms of Covid management, revocation of Article 370, and construction of the Ram temple, one of the key poll promises of the BJP.

The survey has thrown up the names of Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath as possible names to succeed PM Modi at the helm of affairs, but as of now, Narendra Modi’s popularity remains undented. The survey found that 72 per cent of the respondents were satisfied with the prime minister's performance.

On Sunday, a mega 'Tiranga' rally was taken out in Srinagar, with Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha participating in the event. "They, who used to say that there wouldn't be anyone left in Jammu and Kashmir to raise the tiranga, would have understood that every youth of Jammu and Kashmir loves the national flag as much as people from any other part of the country," Manoj Sinha said, without taking any names.
